St. Barths is probably one of my favorite places in the whole world; it holds a very special place in my heart. The second I get off the plane, a sense of relief washes over me, and I instantly feel like I am home. I attribute it to the infectious smell of the island air, the constant sea breeze, and the laid back, super chic attitude the people of St. Barth exude. This vacation was extra special because my parents renewed their wedding vows after 35 years together in the most beautiful church in the harbor. My dad pulled off a major surprise; he flew my sister in, planned everything (with a little help from his girls), and kept the secret from my mom until the night before. My mom rocked a white jumpsuit from Ralph Lauren (compliments of me) and, as usual, looked like a bombshell. My sister and I served as her bridesmaids, which was pretty special since we weren’t at the first one, and my husband was the best man. The church is in the center of Gustavia, and we have been going there for the last five years for Easter. It has such a welcoming energy; all the doors and windows are open, allowing tons of light to come in and that amazing Caribbean breeze to move through. They had the cutest getaway car; a Moke, traditional St. Barths beach ride. We used lipstick to make the "Just Married" sign; it was a little last-minute, but it turned out perfect. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and lots of champagne. Here are some of the photos from the magical day. Here's to another 35 years!
