Hopefully, everyone had a fun weekend, and the weather wasn't too much of a downer. Saturday night we went to a 65th birthday party. They had a clear top ten with all these little white lights strung up, and the sound of the rain made it so magical. The 48-degree temperatures, on the other hand, were less than desirable. I had a black turtleneck and a leather jacket on. It was NOT May weather—I am starting to feel like we live in Alaska.
Unfortunately, my mom wasn't home for Mother's Day, but my dad and I "celebrated" anyway. We "played" golf, and I use that term loosely. He played, and I took a few whiffs, made some pretty large divots, but I also hit a few, so it wasn't as big of a massacre as I had thought it would be. We had dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in town, Elm Street. So as much as we missed having Mother's Day with my mom, we still had a good time.
I am so ready for warm weather, which, apparently, the weather apps have assured us will be arriving this week. Which means, bring out the whites... You guys know I am big on neutrals, so adding white to the mix once it gets warm out is pretty exciting.
This bow top is from Club Monaco, and I love the texture. I’m big on texture. I have been stocking up on white jeans lately—I got two new pairs last week—and they are linked below as well as the pair in this photo which are from ASOS and are under $50. These shoes are so fun and so comfortable, I’m gravitating to anything with a block heel lately. The “oversized” jean jacket is from Gap—it was under $60 and is a perfect throw-on piece. Everyone should have at least one jean jacket in their closet.
