Even though its only been a week, I feel like I haven’t posted in forever. Work has been kicking my butt; I am looking to the next few days I have off from the ambulance. I finally was able to get a few things done today. Our guest room has become the dumping ground for clean laundry, and if it wasn’t for my sweet husband folding it all the time, it would never get done. I know it's already Wednesday, but I thought it would start off with a holiday weekend recap.
So the Memorial Day weather wasn’t quite what I was hoping it would be. For those of us that live in the northeast, it felt more like April than the end of May, which meant no bathing suits andno cute tops; I am still giving my leather jacket a run for its money.
Friday was a long day at work, and I was looking forward to a cocktail all day. My husband and I had dinner with my best friend from high school and her husband; they have three kids, and I don’t know how they do it. We had a blast catching up and drinking a lot of tequila.
Saturday my husband and I took a walk to town and had coffee in the park and he got his hair cut while I shopped a little. Saturday night was Greenwich Town Party, Steely Dan, and Alabama Shakes performed and it was fun to see 10,000 members of the community all in the same place getting their groove on.
Sunday afternoon I took a stab at the golf again. This time around I didn’t hit anyone, but I did lose just as many balls. My husband ordered me a huge bag of balls from online; we have a bet going on how long it will take me to lose all of them. My guess is he is going to be ordering new balls sooner than he thinks. I am still on the hunt for somewhat chic golf clothes (oxymoron?) Do you guys have any tips on where I can find them? Sunday night was the first BBQ of the season; unfortunately, it was too chilly to hang outside. Fingers corssedfor next weekend.
On Monday I had to work; so no super jazzy Memorial Day for me. But I hope you guys had a fabulous long weekend; the best part is it's already Wednesday so only three more days until the weekend.
